Since I posted a really unhealthy treat yesterday, I figured I would post this today! Quite a few people have asked me to do a post about what I do for my workouts. I honestly am quite flattered that you all took the time to write me & ask me, so I want to start off by saying thank you dolls, you all made my day!!! Now, I am definitely not one of those people who only does one strict workout regimen. I love to mix things up & do a bunch of different workouts throughout the week. The most important thing for me with working out, is to always always ALWAYS mix things up. If you are bored with your workout, you simply won't want to work out. That just doesn't work for me considering I not only love working out to be healthy but also because my job slightly depends on my body haha. Here are my favorite ways to work out:
1.) Hot Yoga
(If you live in LA, I highly recommend Moksha Yoga LA)
I know a lot of people who are against hot yoga but I haven't ever met someone who has tried it & not loved it. It is such an incredible workout! You build long lean muscles & sweat a tooon, which makes you feel extremely rejuvenated.
2.) Nike Training Club
This honestly is one of my favorite ways to work out! If you have an iphone, go download this app right now because it's FREE! It's a very well made app too (& no, I'm not paid to say any of this haha) you can listen to your music through it, it has video tutorials for every move & you get an amazing workout in 15, 30 or 45 minutes. It literally will kick your butt! It has a bunch of different workouts for every body type too. They have workouts to get lean, get toned, get strong & get focused. Perfect for strength training!
3.) Running
I am one of those people who actually loooves to run. It gives me the greatest high & is such a great workout. I just started training for a half marathon (here is the Hal Higdon training program I'm using)! I am so excited, but man am I a slow runner haha. I'm just praying I will be able to make it through the 13.1 miles without walking! So don't think that you have to be some amazing runner in order to go out & run around the block! I'm the girl that slips on her Vibram Five Fingers & runs so slow she could be walking (okay that's an exaggeration but still). If you ever see me running around LA, feel free to make fun of my shoes & my pace! :)
4.) Hiking
I don't go hiking as much as I would like to but it is one of my all time favorite ways to get some exercise. I love to get a group of friends together, pack a little picnic & just hike for hours! Killer workout but you're having so much fun that you kind of forget you're even working out.
5.) Indoor Cycling
Cycling is a killer workout! You can burn around 60o calories in an hour & it really tones your legs! This is definitely one of my favorite ways to break a sweat. &&& it is actually really fun cause you feel like you're at a dance party with the music blaring & lights turned way down. How fun is that!?

I am totally one of those slow runners too... no one ever wants to run with me because I slow them down. I just tell them I'm burning more fat going slow ;) so I hear...
