Guys, I got to play with my bestest friend Amber this week! She flew into town for a couple days & so we drove down to Encinitas to visit her & her hubby David! It made my week :) Adam & I found this cutest barn/meeting house & decided to take some pictures. In case you missed my last post, I am blonde again!!! I feel so much more like myself, it's unreal. Crazy how your hair color can change the way you feel about yourself.

hair.

It's amazing how much the color of someones hair can change their look. Right before I got pregnant, I colored my hair & became a brunette. I didn't want to have to color my hair very much while I was pregnant & so I figured that was a smart idea. Plus, I had always wanted to be a brunette! Well, when I first colored it, I was kinda freaking out. I have been a blonde my entireee life & it was such a drastic change for me. Shortly after, I got pregnant & little Kannon was on the way. Everyone kept telling me I would get used to my hair &&&... a year later, I still didn't feel like myself. I clearly was kidding myself, I'm not a brunette. My natural color is a dark blonde & coloring my hair that dark was just turning into a hassel. Soo I went back to my roots! I am officially a blonde again & I thought I would post some pictures of my 3 week journey to get here. (That's why I haven't really been posting pictures, my hair has been in a top knot soaking with coconut oil to help it from completely dying! :)) I just want to thank my girl Kadi at John Frieda for being the most amazing hair colorist (is that a word? haha) & for making me a blonde again! Love you Kadi, you seriously are the best!!!

 I have a post tomorrow with the finished product (for now) for you guys to see. So stay tuned! I still have to lighten up my ends a bit but we need to give my hair a break for a couple weeks so it doesn't break off! These things take time so I just have to be patient! I seriously am so happy to be blonde again. Me, my sister & my momma all look related again! Yay! :)

monday must haves.

Sorry I have been so MIA this past week. My whole family caught the stomach virus that's going around & it literally has made its way through all of us except Kannon & our nephew Paxton. We are all praying they don't get it because it can be deathly in young kids. So please keep the little ones in your thoughts &/or prayers! I'm so excited to announce that I will finally be doing another giveaway next week! I will give all of the details shortly! I hope you all enter to win! For now though, here are my Monday must haves. I'm dying for a pair of espadrilles & if you can't tell, I'm getting very excited for summer to be here! There is nothing like sitting by the pool/beach with your cute sunnies on & reading a good book! Hope your weekend was better than ours! ;)

paxton's first birthday.

On Mother's Day we also got to celebrate my sweet nephew's 1st birthday! We love him so much & can't wait for he & Kannon to grow up together & be best friends! & yes, we have the cutest nephew!!! Happy Birthday Paxton!!!

I had the most amazing Mother's Day! In fact, I think I like Mother's Day more than my birthday now. I'm being serious too. Being a mother is honestly the most rewarding thing I will ever do. I know that there will be hard times through this journey but no matter what happens, having my children will always be my biggest accomplishment. It's hard work making a baby inside of you & then raising them after they come out! I look back & can't believe how lucky I have been to have such an amazing mother myself. She has & would continue to do anything & everything for us kids. We are so blessed to have my momma. I don't think any of us would be where we are without her! I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day celebrating your mothers.

 Adam made me the best breakfast!! It's a breakfast caprese on olive bread. Amazing!!!

 So thankful for this boy! He is the most amazing blessing! Can't believe he's ours!

 I have the sweetest hubby! I'm obsessed with this frame he made me with Kannon's footprints! I literally cried when I opened it.

 Oh & he also got me a Chanel bag! You will get to see that soon in an outfit post soon! ;)

 Thank you for choosing me as your mom, Kannon. You are my whole world & my everything. Every decision I make is based around you. You make me the happiest girl in the universe. Every second I spend with you is cherished & every second away from you I miss you (even when you're just napping). I can't wait to watch you grow up! I love you forevers little love, never forget that!!!

We have been spoiled this past week. First we got to go up the coast for a getaway & now we've had some of our best friends in town staying with us! It has been non stop fun & we are loving every second of it. There is nothing like spending time with family & friends. Thankful today to have the most amazing friends a girl could ask for. On that note... I just want to wish my bestest (Amber) the happiest birthday everrr!! Love you forevers Amby. You are my long lost twin & we have had some of the best times of my life together! Thanks for always being such a great example to me & for always being there for me & now for Kannon! We all love you soooo stinkin much & can't wait to see you in a month!!!
